1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Slice the top off the brie: If you want, start with chilled brie and use a sharp knife to carefully cut off the thin top rind of the cheese. This may help the crust stay with the cheese when served. The rind is edible so you don't have to do this step if you don't want to.

3. Place brie on puff pastry: On a lined baking sheet, lay out the puff pastry or the crescent rolls flat. Place the brie round or wedge on top of the puff pastry.

4. Spread jam on top, fold dough over brie: Spread jam on brie, fold dough over top, cutting off excess dough. Drizzle maple syrup and sprinkle brown sugar on top.

5. Bake: Bake at 350ºF (175°C) for 30 minutes, pastry should be golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

We're also answering a few FAQ's about brie. Check them out below!

Do you take the rind off before baking? The rind is edible, so you can leave it to enjoy with the melted cheese. It will act like an outer shell and help the cheese hold its shape. If you'd like to remove it, simply remove it with a knife before baking.

Does brie need to be baked? No! You can eat brie straight out of your refrigerator. For an irresistibly creamy taste, remove it out of the refrigerator about an hour before serving. This will allow the cheese to come to room temperature. You can serve it as a full wheel or cut it up into wedges for your guests to easily grab. The room temperature brie is best accompanied with honey, crackers and jam!

What jelly, jam, or spread goes best with brie? This is where you can get creative because brie pairs well with nearly any sweet or savory jam. Raspberry or strawberry jam is our first go to when baking the brie.
