Celebrating Sisterhood with Culinary Excellence
Every sisterhood needs a little bonding time.
Table and Thyme specializes in creating an unforgettable experience for all guests. We recently met up with Auburn’s Phi Mu Sorority Chapter for a night of close connections, sisterly bonding, and delicious food.
At Table and Thyme, we offer a range of services and work tirelessly to make every event unique and perfect while still meeting our host’s needs. Whether it's for a corporate event, a wedding, a party, or a casual get together, our individualized grazing tables and grazing boxes deliver quality and elegance to your table ‘thyme after thyme.’
There are several times in life that we find ourselves lost and in need of companionship. Perhaps it is those first few days at college or a new job, regardless of the situation, it can be difficult to come our of our shells and bond with the people around us, making it hard to develop deep and meaningful relationships. There are tricks, however, that can help people open up and express themselves more freely. For those special moments of bonding with more than one or two people, one of the best ways to make everyone feel comfortable and open to connecting on a deeper level is with good food. It may not seem like that big of a deal, but having food plays a huge role in how people interact with one another. Amanda Luppino-Esposito at Socialtables really breaks this concept down in “The True Role of Food & Beverage in Meetings and Events”:
“A meal isn’t just a meal. It’s an opportunity to make connections, to bring people together to break bread.”
So, having the right kind of food at your event is essential for building relationships between guests! For the women of Phi Mu, we curated an unforgettable culinary experience so that they could spend the evening building on what it means to be sisters. Finding friends in college isn’t always easy, so we wanted to show how we helped Phi Mu not only explore their friendships with one another, but explore their sisterhood through food.
This exquisite grazing table was an experience all in itself, full of blooming foliage and flowers to highlight the inviting arrangement of charcuterie meats, cheeses, and more.
The art of designing charcuterie boards is an ever-growing interest that Table and Thyme has perfected at a much higher level than just a board. We have taken that elegance and grace and magnified it to an exceptional charcuterie tablescape experience. Every element is catered to match the client’s needs and for our Phi Mu friends, we wanted to express their lively personalities with the vibrant flavors and colors. As young, fresh faces beginning to make their own ways in life, we wanted to reflect this in the fresh selection of fruit and vegetables like grapes, strawberries, and blueberries. Their energetic smiles remind us of summer which is reflected in this grazing table in the lively colors of the food and florals. All of the flavors pair well with each other so that they can all be mixed and matched for a fun dining experience, such as the savory, buttery cured meats and cheeses complimenting the sweetness of fruits and chocolates. Of course, we had to include one of our favorite grazing table elements: baked brie, to elevate the entire experience.
We know it can be difficult to make any event feel meaningful and memorable for guests, so we have learned the best practices in achieving this extraordinary task with our event catering and other unique services like individualized graze boxes and virtual classes. Table and Thyme owes a special thanks to the amazing venue, The Collegiate Hotel at Auburn, and to our friends @rop123 and @judymariesloan, as well as @phimuau for letting us create this unforgettable experience!
