How to Make a Classic BLT (The Easy Way!)

Aside from its unmatched flavor, the best thing about this savory sandwich is that it’s so simple to make! All you’ll need is a few slices of your favorite bread like sourdough or an everything bagel seasoned french bread, a few slices of bacon, a tomato, lettuce, mayonnaise, and salt and pepper!

Before you get to making the sandwich, go ahead and get all of your ingredients ready. Cook the bacon until it’s nice and crispy, rinse the produce, and slice up the tomato!

If you can fit your bread slices in a toaster, go ahead and toss them in until they reach the perfect level of toasted crunch. Otherwise, you can place your bread in a toaster oven or on a hot skillet over the stove for a few minutes to achieve that mouthwateringly golden shade of toast that makes this sandwich so great.

After your ingredients are prepped and your bread is toasted, you’re ready to put everything together! Spread a thick layer of mayonnaise over both slices of bread before sprinkling with salt and pepper to taste. 

Then, lay out a few leaves of fresh lettuce on one slice of bread.

Place the sliced tomato on top of the lettuce and the bacon slices on the other piece of toast. If they are too long, cut the bacon slices in half.

Crispy, crunchy, and simple, this recipe is perfect for when you’re in a pinch. With only a handful of ingredients and a few minutes, you could be savoring all the best flavors a classic BLT has to offer!


  • 2 slices of bread of your choice, toasted
  • 1-2 Tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • A few leaves of fresh lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 2-3 strips of bacon, cooked
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Spread a layer of mayonnaise on both sides of your toasted bread and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. 
  2. Put a few leaves of fresh lettuce on one-half of the bread. 
  3. Layer the sliced tomato on top of the lettuce. 
  4. Cut the cooked bacon strips in half and place them on the other slice of bread. 
  5. Sandwich it all together and enjoy!
