Southern hospitality is a thing. And, we love to be a small OR large part of that when it comes to a wonderfully hosted housewarming party. Whether the food is a main focus or an added value, we enjoy creating menus and grazing tables that fit the occasion and guest list.
Ready to show off your new humble abode to your friends? All of the logistics of throwing a housewarming party are just as important as setting the mood. The right decor, lighting, cocktails and food all are key elements that will wow your guests.
Here are some things to consider.
What time of the day is your event? If it’s in the afternoon, plan for a lighter, brighter experience. If your event is in the evening, use lower lighting for a warmer mood. Expect your guests to come hungry and plan your menu around heavier hors d’oeuvres.
What time of year is your event? If your event falls in a certain season of the year, i.e. spring, fall, winter, etc. gather inspiration for special details that help your event come to life. Offer festive decor or menu offerings based on the time of year.
This fall we partnered with a Birmingham Blogger, Carlyle Thornton on her themed housewarming party. This fall themed gathering included her closest friends and family coming together to see her newly renovated home. We were able to partner with so many local and regional vendors at this celebration.
Focusing on fall, we added ALL sorts of fall inspired items to the grazing table, complete with candied pecans, pumpkin rolls, chocolate covered apples, caramel popcorn, baked brie, mini pecan pies, and a variety of meat and cheese! The perfect setup for any private home gathering.
