Birthdays are special celebrations that bring so much joy to people all around the world, which is why we love to help make every birthday we cater extra special. We are overjoyed to have been a part of Jack’s 60th birthday. Though every birthday is a year older, Jack is a young-at-heart, spirited person whose vitality shined at this event. You couldn’t help but join in on the fun, light-hearted, and touching atmosphere that made this celebration so special.
Before guests arrived at the beautiful home that would serve as the venue, everything was curated for the most enchanting and elegant ambiance thanks to the amazing talents of Mariée Ami Designs and Lisa Bailey at Buffy Hargett Flowers. With most events placed on hold this past year, finding ways to celebrate at home was a must. Luckily, the vendors for this event totally transformed the space into a stylish and graceful oasis, perfect for this birthday party!
Table & Thyme has worked with Megan Tsang Studio time after time. After every collaboration, we have so many amazing moments captured to share! Some of these moments include the preparation of such a special event. Table & Thyme thrives on elevating the experiences of every client we work with, so we put our heart and soul into making this an unforgettable night for Jack, his family, and his friends. Our grazing tables are a huge focus of many events we cater. We specially curated each one to meet the needs and reflect the personality of each event, making every table a unique collection of colors, textures, and flavors. For this event, we explored the range of combinations possible with the dishes and foods we put together. Fresh grapes, kiwi, strawberries and blueberries, blackberries, and figs, offer a sweetly stark contrast to more savory flavors like aged charcuterie and cheeses, pistachios, cashews, breads, and more.
Alongside the variety of fresh and cured flavors in our grazing tables, we love adding a number of unique hor d’oeuvres to shake things up! For Jack’s 60th birthday celebration, we decided to go with some bold flavors that complimented his fun personality. Specialty sliders, caprese salad with balsamic glaze, watermelon fries, honey glazed baked brie, and our Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies are just a few of the delicious appetizers we served on this grazing table. We paired these flavors with a few selections, both white and red, for the best culinary experience possible, as well as a fun signature cocktail.
Aside from the variety of flavors offered with the grazing table, Table & Thyme also provided a more hearty meal option for party-goers and guests of the beloved birthday boy. Glazed fried chicken served with collard greens and cajun shrimp added a hearty home-style kick to this celebration.
Jack’s 60th birthday was more than just a birthday. This event was a celebration of love, support, fun, and great food. Guests thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company and we are so happy to have been lucky enough to be a part of such a memorable evening.
