If you have ever experienced an Alabama sunset then you know just how beautiful it is. The streets of downtown Birmingham are known for their picturesque sunsets. Here at Table and Thyme, we used this stunning city backdrop to our advantage.
A beautiful table-scape was made on a street downtown where we had the pleasure of catering a private event for the Salvation Army’s annual Dinner in the Streets. A seated dinner for 100 included a cocktail hour, hors d’doeuvres, plated entree and dessert.
The night started off with two signature hors d’oeuvres: a garden salad and tomato and mozzarella skewers…YUM.
The plated entrée followed which was a delicious oven roasted airline chicken plated with jasmine rice, butternut squash au gratin, and grilled vegetables. If your mouth is not watering yet, it will be after this.
At the end of the meal a mixed berry bread pudding was served with fresh berries baked to golden perfection and topped with a vanilla custard cream sauce.
With full bellies, empty plates, and new friends, guests were able to connect over just how majestic Birmingham can be.
