Prep now, freeze for later. We’re fixing the classic Green Bean Casserole this week for next’s week’s gathering. The twist? We’re freezing it once it cools to give us more time the morning of Thanksgiving (to watch the parade, of course). Wrap this casserole staple in tin foil or put a lid on it, and pop it in the freezer. Be sure to give it plenty of time to thaw before warming it up to serve.
Classic Green Bean Casserole
Cook Time: 35 min
Ingredients:
- 1 can (10 ½ oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup of milk
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 4 cups of canned green beans
- 1 ⅓ cup fried onions
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350º.
- Mix the soup, milk, soy sauce, green beans, and ⅔ cup fried onions in a baking dish until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bake for 25 minutes.
- Top with the remaining fried onions, then bake for 5 minutes more.
