Whether you’re gathering for a cheerful Mother’s Day brunch, hosting an elegant Easter affair, or commemorating special milestones like baby showers and weddings, these sips are the perfect accompaniment to any occasion!
Mint Julep
Ingredients:Β
- 4-5 mint leaves
- Β½ oz simple syrup or two sugar cubes
- 2 Β½ oz bourbon whiskey
- Crushed ice
Instructions:
- Place your mint leaves in the bottom of a glass, and top with sugar cubes or simple syrup.
- Using a muddler or the back end of a spoon, mash the mint leaves into the sugar to release the oils.
- Pour the bourbon whiskey into the mixture, then add crushed ice to the top of the glass.
- Top with a fresh mint sprig.Β
Classic Margarita
Cook time: 5 min
Ingredients:
- 1Β½ oz tequila
- 1 oz Triple Sec
- ΒΎ oz freshly-squeezed lime juice
- Β½ oz simple syrup
- lime wedge and coarse salt for rimming the glass
Instructions:
- Add the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup to a shaker filled with ice. Shake for about 10 seconds.Β
- Wet the rim of a glass with a lime wedge, and coat the rim with salt. Fill the glass with ice. Strain the margarita into the glass, and garnish with lime.Β
Frozen Espresso Martini
Cook time: 5 min
Freeze time: 4 hours
Ingredients:
- 1 ΒΌ cups brewed coffee or espresso, at room temperature
- 1 Β½ oz coffee liqueur
- 1 Β½ oz vodka
- Β½ tsp vanilla extract
- 6 coffee beans for garnish
Instructions:
- Pour coffee (or espresso) into an ice cube tray. Freeze until solid, about 4 hours.
- Combine the coffee ice cubes, coffee liqueur, vodka and vanilla in a blender; process until smooth, about 1 minute.
- Divide between 2 chilled coupe martini glasses; garnish each with 3 coffee beans, if desired. Serve immediately.

Simple Paloma
Cook time: 2 minutes
Ingredients:Β
- 2 oz tequila
- 6 oz Squirt or other grapefruit soda
Instructions:
Combine the tequila and grapefruit soda in a glass. Garnish with lime, and serve.
Spaghett
Cook time: 5 min
Ingredients:
- 1 12 oz Miller High Life, or similar light beer of choice
- 1 Β½ oz Aperol
- Β½ oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
Instructions:
- Add all listed ingredients to a pint glass & stir to combine.
- OR, do it the @playswellwithbutter way: take a swig or two out of the High Life, then pour the Aperol & lemon juice directly in the beer bottle β voila, no dishes to wash!

Strawberry Margarita
Cook time: 7 min
Ingredients:
- Margarita salt or kosher salt
- Lime wedges
- 1 lb fresh strawberries hulled
- 1 cup tequila
- β
cup fresh lime juice (approximately 5 to 6 limes)
- β
cup honey
- ΒΌ cup triple sec
Instructions:
- In a shallow dish as wide as your serving glass, add Margarita salt (or kosher salt) to ΒΌ-inch deep. Run a lime wedge around the top of each glass, then dip the top of the glass upside-down into the salt and turn to coat.
- To a blender, add strawberries, tequila, lime juice, honey and triple sec. Pulse until completely smooth.Β Β
- Let mixture rest for about 3 minutes, and skim off foam. Add more tequila or sweetener to taste.
- Fill each rimmed glass about half full with ice. Add margarita mixture, garnish with a lime wedge, and serve immediately.

Gin Fizz
Cook time: 3 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 tsp powdered sugar
- Club soda
Instructions:
- Shake gin, lemon juice, and powdered sugar in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Strain into a glass filled with ice, then top with club soda and garnish with a slice of lemon.
Mezcal Coconut Paloma
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp salt
- ΒΌ tsp chili powder
- 2 oz mezcal
- 2 oz fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1 oz honey syrup (equal parts honey and water)
- 1 can coconut LaCroix
- Lime
Instructions:
- Mix the salt and chili powder together. Cut a lime wedge, and rub it along the rim of a glass. Dip the rim into the salt mixture, coating all the way around, then fill the glass with crushed ice.
- In a different glass, combine the grapefruit juice, honey syrup, and mezcal. Stir well. Pour over the crushed ice. Top off the glass with coconut LaCroix.
- Add a lime wedge to the rim, and serve.
