What better way to strengthen a community than with great food and good vibes?
When it comes to business, most people know how important it is to have the right people by your side. Creating a good network of like-minded people can play a huge role in anyone’s level of success, whatever that means to each person. Financial success, emotional success, spiritual success, all of these things can be deeply impacted by the community a person has built around themselves.
Rising Tide Society, a collaborative effort to bring entrepreneurs and business-owners the resources they need to grow their influences and businesses, has found its way to our Birmingham community. As a result, Birmingham business leaders have teamed together to host Tuesdays Together, an opportunity to grow connections with others and build community with one another.
We are excited to have been able to take part in this venture for a special event with Tuesdays Together, and we couldn’t resist sharing some of our favorite moments of the event!
It’s all in the details.
Rising Tide is a community based on professionalism and creating opportunity. We thought the best way to showcase this was to create an ambiance of elegance and grace as well as an emphasis on practicality for the grazing table spread we designed. The freshness of the foods helped to enhance the quality of the spread by providing vibrance and variety, characteristics that made the grazing table aesthetically pleasing. With food this enticing, there’s minimal need to incorporate much in the way of decorations, so a few candles and some eucalyptus were able to do the trick easily. Guests enjoyed an array of fresh fruits such as blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, oranges, grapefruit, and kiwi, as well as flaky croissants, pretzels, crackers, aged meats and cheeses, and so much more!
Unique flavors to commemorate the unique bond of this community.
Although Rising Tide Society has chapters all across the country, Birmingham’s chapter is unique. Its character is determined by the character of our Birminghamians, which is what makes it so special. Because of this, we decided to add a unique twist to our beloved baked brie. For this event, we topped the creamy brie with the sweet, tangy, and bold flavors of pomegranate and walnut to enhance the other flavors of the grazing table spread. We also showcased creamy crostini with blackberry bites for this event!
What is an event without dessert?
No event is complete without a heart dose of sweet, sweet chocolate. Though it comes in so many variations, here at Table & Thyme, we particularly enjoy dark chocolate morsels of salted caramel and cream paired with fresh berries. And finally, we couldn’t forget to include our Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies for this gorgeous event spread!
Of course, food is not the most important thing when it comes to building a strong and reliable community, but it sure does help! Creating the right kind of environment can be imperative to facilitating long-lasting and meaningful relationships within any kind of context, and Table & Thyme is honored to have been a part of this community-building event with Tuesdays Together and Birmingham’s Rising Tide Chapter.
