Gone are the days of ordering dry sub sandwiches and limp salads for company meetings and get-togethers. With Table & Thyme’s unique approach or catering, you and your coworkers can enjoy each other’s company with flavor and style, no matter the occasion!
We recently got the chance to work with a local group of dedicated individuals to put on a celebratory luncheon at the office. In order to make the afternoon equally entertaining and appetizing, we decided to take an interactive approach while planning this event’s menu! In conjunction with a few other culinary elements, we offered guests two creative options for their plates: a DIY nacho bar and a chocolate fountain with an abundance of decadent sweets for dipping! This pairing of all things sweet and savory was a great way to meet everyone’s individual taste preferences while still being enjoyed by all, and it was a fun conversation starter for coworkers to learn more about each other, too!
Salty, crispy tortilla chips paired with nacho cheese is a great snack on its own, but how can we make it better? We decided to provide guests with an array of options for building the ultimate plate of nachos including a variety of base ingredients, proteins, toppings, and sauces.
Of course, you can’t have nachos without chips, so we had plenty of tortilla chips set out for guests to build their nacho masterpiece on. We also included seasoned jasmine rice and mixed greens for guests to mix and match the base of their ultimate nacho creation!
To pack some protein into the mix and ensure that everyone is getting their fill, we included two proteins to choose from: pulled and smoked chicken or tender chopped brisket. The wild cards stacked both on their plate for a meat-lovers nacho delight!
Guests could choose from three of our homemade sauces for their nachos which included our tangy Alabama White BBQ Sauce, creamy jalapeño and cilantro ranch, or rich homemade barbeque sauce. We chose sauces that go great with every ingredient at the nacho bar, as well as with each other, so there was no way these flavors could be anything but mouthwatering!
Finally, guests had the ultimate opportunity to customize their nacho experience with a fully stocked topping selection. This included made-from-scratch smoked skillet queso, sweet and creamy coleslaw, zesty black bean corn salsa, fresh diced tomatoes, lime wedges, pickled jalapeños, and fresh cilantro for a tangy garnish!
Aside from the fun to be had with the nacho bar, guests had another chance to show their creative spirit with dessert! The main event, of course, was the elegant chocolate fountain that poured rich and creamy, melted chocolate. The dessert table was filled with a variety of treats that were practically begging to be dipped in chocolate or even enjoyed on their own! The table featured miniature versions of our Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies, fresh and juicy strawberries, tiny pound cake bites, sweet donut holes, fluffy marshmallows, crunchy pretzels, crisp apple slices, and homemade rice crispy bites. These guests topped off their all-star nachos with a delightfully sweet dessert kabob, which was the perfect sign-off to a successful luncheon!
