This October, we had the pleasure of working with an outstanding group of wedding professionals to help pull off a beautiful wedding for Sarah and Drew at the @eventsathaven in Birmingham, Alabama.
After the ceremony viewing via Zoom, a colorfully and delectably decorated table was feasted and grazed upon by all. What’s not to love about an eye-catching grazing table as the focal point of a reception especially when Squash Blossoms are involved? Bacon wrapped dates and salmon crostini’s also filled the table.
The bride and groom arrived and enjoyed a quiet moment alone, reflecting on their big day and grabbing a quick bite to eat before all of the ceremony fun.
Guests were eagerly awaiting the official announcement of the bride and groom. After their first dance, the food stations opened and guests enjoyed a wide array of offerings.
Guests enjoyed a meat carving station that included carved brisket and Tuscan stuffed sun-dried tomato chicken stuffed with cream cheese, spinach, and a rustic sun-dried tomato cream sauce.
All meats were served with our three signature sauces, all made from scratch -Classic BBQ, Sunnie Sauce a mustard based bbq sauce and Alabama Ivory.
Guests made their way around the room to the Southern grits station where they had all of the toppings to complete the perfect bowl of grits, including; bacon, cheese, sautéed onions, sautéed mushrooms, chives, and topped with sautéed shrimp.
Last but not least, to finish off the plate, guests had the options of many ‘sides and such’, including; butternut squash au gratin, sweet potato hash, sweet potatoes, diced sautéed onions, twice baked sweet potatoes, roasted vegetable platter (seasonal and local), asparagus rainbow carrots, figs, eggplant, okra, and tomatoes.
This lovely couple was so easy to celebrate, and we are thankful for the opportunity to toast to their new journey together!⠀⠀
