Guests enjoyed BBQ Martinis — a twist on traditional southern comfort food, Charcuterie Cones — it’s like a charcuterie board in a cup, and Creole Deviled Eggs — the only devilish thing about them is that they’re gone in two bites.
The small bites were paired with refreshing cocktails from @redmontdistilling. All the designers and decor left us feeling inspired, creative and empowered to redecorate our own space.

“Homewood just got a little more charming thanks to our 2020 Inspiration Home! This year, we’ve partnered with Willow Homes to bring you a classic Southern cottage in the heart of Homewood. The classic architecture blends perfectly with the cottages of Homewood yet is updated for modern living. You’ll love the rough-faced stone, cedar-shake roofing, and artisan siding that provides textural details to this traditional home.The front door opens to an entry hall complete with a library wall, window seat, and dramatic two-story staircase. The main-level master suite includes his-and-hers closets, a pedestal tub, and a zero-entry shower. The vaulted dining/kitchen space features beamed ceilings and a telescoping door opening onto the courtyard. Upstairs offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a cozy den. A second interior staircase accesses a den and suite above the garage. Outdoor living areas include a front terrace, entry porch, dining porch, and a private courtyard for entertaining.”

Families from throughout Alabama and across the United States come to Children’s of Alabama and UAB Hospital seeking life-saving treatment for their critically ill children. Often times, they come to Birmingham exhausted, scared and financially drained as they struggle to pay for overwhelming medical bills. The Ronald McDonald House cares for up to 73 guest families every night, keeping them together while their children receive medical treatment. In addition to providing a comfortable bedroom, Ronald McDonald House surrounds the families with love and support from volunteers, staff and other guest families who share the same hopes and fears.
