Each wedding is a totally unique experience that encapsulates a couple’s conjoined character. Wedding themes vary widely, making each ceremony that much more memorable. Whether it’s tropical, elegant, chic, rustic, or whimsical, the common denominator to an exquisite wedding is exquisite food, which is where Table & Thyme comes in!
We recently worked with an amazing couple to produce a one-of-a-kind wedding at one of our favorite venues, Windwood Equestrian. With the collaboration of passionate and skilled vendors, we were able to give the blushing bride and her beau the wedding of a lifetime. Checkout some of the moments captured by the talented Katie & Cindy Photography below!
Table & Thyme specializes in creating elevated catering experiences, and weddings are an area that we particularly love! We put our heart and soul into curating the most perfect and personalized experience possible for each event, and we love sharing these moments on our blog. We also feature some of our more extravagant events in our grazing table for high-end tablescape inspiration. For this summer wedding, we pulled out all the stops, including a cocktail hour with our staple grazing table and a variety of special dishes at various serving stations.
Our grazing tables are always bursting with a variety of flavors, so we decided to shake it up with this wedding by adding seasonal touches and tastes to this beautiful spread. Fresh fruits are always a must, which is why we incorporated the sweet and tangy flavors of fresh strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, grapes, and kiwi into this grazing table. Garden-fresh vegetables are the perfect compliment during the summer months, so this table featured crisp cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and green olives. With an artisanal flair, we supplemented this grazing table with expertly aged meats and cheeses as well as a variety of nuts like cashew and pistachio and toasted crostini, pretzels, and crackers to dip into creamy pimento cheese. To satisfy everyone’s sweet-tooth before the cake-cutting, we included our Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies, yogurt covered pretzels, and dark chocolate and sea salt caramel bites.
After a wedding ceremony comes the second best part of a wedding (the first being the marrying of the happy couple, of course). We put a lot of effort into crafting an immaculate selection for the main course, which turned into three stations with a variety of options for an unforgettable dinner.
The first station was for fresh garden greens. This table featured three options, a traditional Southern Caesar Salad made with mixed kale, goat cheese crumbles, cornbread croutons, and bacon caesar dressing, a Grapefruit Hand Salad with romaine, creamy grapefruit spread, toasted sunflower seeds, and finally, Marinated Cucumber & Tomato Salad.
The most hearty part of this meal came from the carving station. This table consisted of a selection of tender Beef Filet, served with creamy horseradish sauce or Hot Shrimp Skewers, served with coconut chili sauce.
The final station was filled with delicious sides to compliment the carefully selected flavors of the other dishes. This table featured a beautiful Grilled Veggie Platter with balsamic glaze, crispy Butternut Squash Au Gratin, and homestyle Southern Grits with cheese, whipped butter, bacon bits, & garden chives.
One of our favorite features of this wedding was the fun and gorgeous cake designed by Cakes by Kim. It sported a minimalist presentation but also had quite a whimsical twist. This couple’s cake was surrounded by some adorable pastel pastries; sweet macarons and cups of various puddings as well.
We are so pleased to have been a part of this magnificent event and this couple’s special day! Make sure to check out the other vendors that helped to make this day possible as well as some of our other wedding events featured in our blog and grazing table gallery!
