Sometimes the simplest things in life are the most memorable.

For this happy couple, the best way to celebrate the beginning of their lifelong journey together was in the presence of some of their favorite things.

Every wedding is a completely unique experience, just like how every happy couple has characteristics that make them so special! Table & Thyme has catered quite a few weddings in the past, and it’s one of our favorite types of events to work on. There is always so much magic and so much personality that goes into making every wedding perfect, and for the Martins and their special day, it was no different! 

What made this wedding so interesting was that this event featured all of the beauty and elegance that can be found in comfortable simplicity. With this in mind, and some sweet Southern inspiration, we were able to create a classic, homestyle grazing table of comfort foods!

A Table with Room for Everyone…

This event’s grazing table featured some of our favorite culinary elements with a Southern twist. For the fresh fruit spread, this table sports a variety of berries (including cherries, grapes, strawberries, blackberries, and juicy watermelon slices). Adorned with delicate candles and lush greenery, as well as some elegant florals, this table accentuates the timelessness of a day full of love and cheerful company.

 

 

Let’s Get Things Cookin!

We couldn’t stop with some fresh foods, of course! We were so excited to explore all of the flavors that Southern cuisine has to offer for this event with a variety of prepared dishes. A medley of steamed squash, zucchini, and pepper found a place alongside roasted brussel sprouts with bacon and balsamic glaze, as well as seasoned green beans, colorful fruit salad, and creamy baked macaroni and cheese. We also included loaded baked potatoes and warm, moist wheat rolls to satiate everyone’s palettes and fill any remaining empty stomachs! 

 

 

The Heart of the Meal…

Finally, guests had the options of chicken prepared either roasted and seasoned with rosemary and butter in a cast-iron skillet or breaded and deep fried and boneless! They could choose from a selection of flavorful dips to bring out the best tastes, or they could try the expertly grilled steak tenderloin! All of these Southern delicacies and their unique flavors were heightened with the taste of some homemade sweet tea as the final touch to this perfect day! 

 

We thoroughly enjoyed working with this lovely couple to make their special day an unforgettable one, and we are so glad to be able to share it with you!
