The best-baked brie recipes are made with good-quality ingredients and a bit of technical know-how. To make this fruity and sweet cheese starter, you will need a round of brie cheese, strawberry jam or preserves, a few fresh strawberries, pistachios, several sprigs of fresh thyme, and a bit of honey.
To begin, preheat the oven to 375º F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. While the oven is warming up, place the round of brie on the parchment paper. Leaving the rind, spoon a dollop of jam or preserves on top.
You can slice the strawberries into thin pieces or leave them whole. Add the strawberries on top of the jam.
Once the oven is ready, place the baking sheet and brie inside to bake for approximately 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, shell the pistachios if they are not already. Place them in a ziploc bag. Wrap the bag in a hand towel and place it on the counter. Use a rolling pin or similar tool to crush the pistachios.
Remove the brie, now baked, from the oven and sprinkle it with the crushed pistachios. Add the fresh thyme and drizzle your baked brie with honey, a lovely finishing touch.
Baked brie is a gooey medley of sweet and buttery cheese with tangy fruits that pairs perfectly with bread, toast, and crackers.
Enjoy the captivating flavors of fresh strawberries and pistachios paired with creamy baked brie and a drizzle of sweet honey!
